Amara Thai Cuisine: Authentic, Fresh, and Flavorful Thai Dining in Woodland, CA

We had the best food in the most beautiful space at Amara Thai this evening! We took my dad here for his retirement dinner- Sithu, Anthony and the entire staff were so attentive and caring. The ambiance is peaceful, the seating comfortable and accessible; everything about the space adds to the overall experience. This is the best Thai food across the region in my opinion- anything the owners Sithu and Zin put forward is always beyond incredible. They have an expansive range of dishes that all looked so good!!! We chose the pumpkin red curry, spring rolls with tofu, pad kra pao and ginger stir fry. Everything came out so perfectly; we really couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and passion with our community!!

The food is clean fresh and no joke. The chefs food brought tears to my eyes after missing homestyle cuisine and not being able to find Burmese style noodles in this area (available at select times !!) lots of dif options for different types of people (I can bring my vegan and halal besties here :))) Good attentive and friendly service as well. (OH MY GOD AND YOU CAN CHANGE THE THAI TEA SWEETNESS LEVEL? That’s how u know its authentic Asian)

First time visiting Sithu and Zin’s new Thai place in Woodland. The food was delicious. I had the crispy pork belly stir fry. My friend had the ginger stir fry and we split an order of the house chicken wings as an appetizer. Despite being the carnivore I am, the sauce and vegetables in the dish stole the show and I can eat a whole tub of rice with it. I apologize for the lack of photos, as my friend and I ate all our dishes post haste and forgot to take one for the gram. I guess it’s a reflection of earlier days.

We stopped by for a quick lunch, what an amazing restaurant! Clean facility, friendly staff, huge menu, outstanding food. We ordered the crispy pork belly with Thai broccoli, plus rice, and that was big enough for lunch for the two of us. I can’t wait to come back to get this again! Amazing flavor. And there are so many other things to try.

Honestly I've eaten Thai food all my life homemade and restaurant made and I can say the quality here is amazing. Probably the best Thai food place between Woodland and Davis. I recommend everyone to go out and try this place at least once if you're anything like me you will want to come back for more. Service was great our server was a nice young man who laughed, joked with us and was super upfront and honest with us about the wait on food (it was busy when I visited) perfect. Carried and handled food with care and helpfully clarified the spice scale to us as well. At the end allowed us to try some Thai Tea which was also perfect not to sweet and nice and nicely brewed. Atmosphere here was great feels like you're stepping into an upper class Thai food restaurant. I wish there was a better front area by the door so you didn't have to stand so close to people while waiting on a table to open up. I know some people like their privacy. Other than being cramped the seats were comfy tables were clean and utensils and adornments really made it feel nice and fun! I will be returning to this place with more friends in the future. Great experience.

I had the best green curry at this restaurant. It was creamy, flavorful and the spice level was perfect. We had the spring rolls with peanut and it was so fresh, crispy and the peanut sauce I could’ve ate on its own. We also had the Rad Na which was a huge portion enough for two. Tasted amazing and was perfect for this cold weather. Service was great, very presentable. The Thai tea is probably the only thing that could’ve been better but aside from that highly recommended this place. This might be our new go-to Thai place, certainly the best in Woodland/Davis area.

I loved this place. The staff were extremely nice and had excellent service. The food was very good. The owners were known to me from other locations and this location was wonderful. I highly recommend and I will be back for more.
